Not a lot of you might know Finnish rapper ViEW. I don’t know how, but I happened to hear his songs few months ago and he really impressed me.
He is only 23-year-old guy from Helsinki. His hypnotic and mystical sound in addition to his charismatic voice, has been noticed by the media in Finland and abroad. He released his first single Avalon – in January and his upcoming EP carries the same name, which should be released this
Keep in mind that ViEW has been named the hottest up and coming rap artist in Finland. He keeps his feet close to the ground and only writes about what is closest to him. With his producer Joonas Laaksoharju, who has made a name for himself in the urban districts of producing, they have made their independent release Avalon EP, which was released on 2nd of October. Are you excited?
Today is the day, when View’s latest single “Lace” gets a remix. View tells that his single is all about finding yoursefl and your identity. Song was made together with Finnish electropop duo LCMDF. “Lace” is about a survival story set in time when View himself fought with depression.
The song is remixed by Red Bull Academy alumni Somepoe. He has toured all the way from Finland to USA and Canada to play DJ sets with Benji B, Just Blaze and other. Among other achievements, Somepoe was invited to play a guest mix on Benji B’s BBC Radio 1 show in 2013. His tracks have been getting rotation on BBC Radio 1, Beats 1 and Rinse FM. Not bad, huh?
